MIAMI – September 9, 2009 – Leighton Law, P.A., a Miami-based personal injury law firm with a national client roster, proudly welcomes trial and corporate attorney Zoltan Pinter to the firm. Mr. Pinter’s practice focuses on catastrophic injury, violent crime/inadequate security, medical malpractice, product liability, business tort litigation, agricultural business and litigation, fraud investigation and litigation.

With more than 20 years of litigation, corporate and business experience, Mr. Pinter, who is also a Certified Public Accountant, has served as General Counsel in both publicly and privately held agricultural companies. In addition to toxic tort, asbestos, and general complex fraud matters, products liability litigation, his background includes a broad range of corporate counsel and management experience including Securities and Exchange Commission (S.E.C.) matters, initial and secondary public offerings, corporate finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, governmental relations, and international contracts.

Prior to joining Leighton Law, Mr. Pinter handled major litigation cases at Adorno & Yoss (then Adorno & Zeder), and Popham, Haik et al., including first party insurance defense, personal injury insurance defense, insurance fraud litigation and products liability defense.  He began his legal career as a legal intern for the Honorable Thomas E. Scott (retired) United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of Florida, after working as an auditor for a “Big Four” accounting firm, where he specialized S.E.C. matters and the health care industry.  He also served as an adjunct professor of accounting at the University of Miami and Miami Dade College.

Mr. Pinter is a licensed attorney in Florida, Minnesota and New York with a Martindale-Hubbell BV rating, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. He is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida; and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (General and Trial Bars).  He is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Florida Bar, The Minnesota Bar, The New York Bar, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Dade County Bar Association.

Mr. Pinter received his J.D. from the University of Miami and a B.S. in accounting from The University of Alabama. Born in Santiago, Chile, he is fluent in Spanish.
