$200,000 Settlement – Woman robbed in mall parking lot starstarstarstarstar

A woman shopping at an upscale regional mall was robbed of her purse and pistol whipped as she approached her car in Boca Raton.  John Elliott Leighton sued the mall on her behalf and obtained a $200,000 settlement for her. The mall had been the site of prior muggings and assaults, and security had not been enhanced. Because regional malls are often increased in size but security is not, shoppers and employees may be vulnerable to opportunistic crime.  By bringing cases against shopping malls like these, Leighton Law makes the community safer for everyone.
