$2,800,000 Settlement – Aviation Crash Resulting in Death (Osceola County, FL)

$2,800,000 settlement for the family of a young man survived by his wife.  John Leighton represented the family of the deceased pilot. The man, an inexperienced private pilot, was misdirected by air traffic control into a dangerous storm formation.  The aircraft broke apart in midair and burned on impact. A case was brought against the FAA based on negligent air traffic control and against component part manufacturers.
