$450,000 settlement – electrical shock injury

Electricity is a wonderful and very dangerous resource.  We are all dependent upon electricity, but when it is not controlled it can cause injury and death.

We represented a man who was involved in a construction project. When construction takes place, there are very specific guidelines for how electrical power should be controlled.  There are many times on a construction site that the power running to the project must be turned off so that the people working on the project will not be subjected to electrical injury or electrocution.

Our client was shocked while working on the construction inside a home.  The electrical power had been turned on when it should have been off, resulting in a shock and neurologic injuries.  He had every reason to believe that the power was off while he was completing his work, which required him to be in contact with power and wires inside the building. Leighton Panoff Law, P.A. secured a confidential $450,000 settlement for the injured man.
