$250,000 settlement – assault at apartment complex (Brevard County)

A woman living in a rental apartment was assaulted and choked by an unknown assailant who knocked on her door.  When she opened it she was attacked. She then retained Leighton Law to investigate a negligent security case.   Our client suffered from psychological trauma from the assault. The apartment complex denied any responsibility for security despite having a criminal element living there.  After filing suit against the complex and engaging in tenacious discovery, Max Panoff obtained a $250,000 recovery for our client. She was able to obtain the therapy she needed to help recover, as well as have some financial security for a move to a better home.
