$220,000 Settlement — vacationing tourist on bicycle fractures collarbone

A Florida visitor escaping the winter cold became an avid bicyclist.  While cycling along one of Miami’s picturesque roadways, he was thrown to the ground when his bicycle struck a construction hose that had been placed across the street.  When his bike hit the large, hard hose, he was thrown over the handlebars and to the pavement, fracturing his collarbone.  John Elliott Leighton litigated the case against the construction company and general contractor and negotiated a confidential $220,000 settlement.
