$700,000 Settlement – Motor Vehicle Crash (Charlotte County, FL)

Next to pedestrians, motorcyclists are the most vulnerable in a car crash.  Drivers fail to see or yield the right of way to those on motorcycles every day.  But when they actually collide, it is the cyclist that bears the brunt of the force.

John Elliott Leighton secured a $700,000 settlement on behalf of young man whose motorcycle was hit by an elderly driver in Charlotte County, Florida.  The driver, who could barely see and should not have even had a drivers license, claimed she never saw the motorcycle or our client.  He was left with devastating neurologic injuries and she had far too little insurance to fully compensate him.
