$9,000,000 settlement – brain damage following surgery

What happens when someone goes into the hospital for a “routine” procedure…but comes out in a vegetative state?

That’s what happened to our client.  This married mother of three was having a minor procedure but an anesthesia mistake left her brain damaged.

Following this routine, non-life threatening surgical procedure, she sustained brain damage when she was improperly monitored and resuscitated.  Once her brain suffered the damage, there was nothing anyone could do.  The oxygen deprivation was too great, and she was left only with the ability to breathe.

Her family built an addition on their home so they could keep her close by, where she received 24 hour care.  The recovery allowed for her to have top flight medical care and round-the-clock attention.  Her children could see her any time and her family had the peace of mind that they were not placing her in a facility.
