$650,000 verdict – Shooting of convenience store clerk

Convenience stores are natural crime magnets.  Because of their hours and locations, criminals know that these are places where they can commit robberies if there are no reasonable security measures in place.  In one such case, our client was shot because of a failure to take reasonable precautions.

John Elliott Leighton won a $650,000 verdict in Miami-Dade Circuit Court for the shooting of convenience store clerk located in high crime area. The location had been the site of numerous other violent crime.
