Though considered the safest mode of transportation, airplanes do crash. When they do it is often the result of several failures – human and/or mechanical. Leighton Law aggressively litigates airplane crash cases, including commercial aviation, general aviation (small planes) and helicopters. Aviation accidents require a specialized investigative skills and intensive investigation.

We work with a team of aviation accident investigators and engineers investigating crash sites and recreating accidents to identify the causes of aviation disasters.

Mr. Leighton has been instrumental in obtaining recoveries for victims of plane crashes and aviation disasters, including general aviation (crash of small plane in bad weather where tower had instructed inexperienced pilot to turn in direction of weather system, resulting in $2.8 million settlement) and commercial aviation (settlements of $430,000 and $300,000 against major airlines).
