John Elliott Leighton, managing partner of Leighton Law, P.A. was re-elected Chairman of the Inadequate Security Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice, an organization of lawyers dedicated to promoting a fair and effective justice system.

The re-election was announced July 26 in Vancouver, at the Association€™s Annual Convention, where Mr. Leighton gave a presentation entitled: €œTerrorism as an Inadequate Security Case.€

During the same week, Mr. Leighton gave a presentation on €œDealing with the Violent Criminal in Civil Cases€ for the Melvin Belli Society Annual Seminar. The Society€™s purpose is to promote the international exchange of ideas among lawyers through meetings and education.

This appointment follows a previous announcement of Mr. Leighton€™s re-election to a fourth term as Chairman of The Academy of Trial Advocacy, an invitation-only association of the nation€™s leading catastrophic injury trial lawyers.
