Leighton Law Recognized in 2019 Best Law Firms in America

U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers collaboratively announced the 2019 Best Law Firms rankings. U.S. News & World Report advises that achieving a tiered ranking “signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal experience.” Leighton Law achieved three tiered rankings for their inclusion in the 2019 “Best Law Firms” list.

When considering eligibility for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer recognized in the Best Lawyers in America, a listing that recognizes the top five percent of practicing lawyers across the United States.

John Leighton, founding partner of of Leighton Law, has received inclusion in Best Lawyers in America for the past 10 years. He is a Florida Bar board-certified civil trial specialist with more than 30 years of experience in litigating and trying cases, including catastrophic injury cases, in all state and federal courts. He specializes in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, violent crime/negligent premises security, and product liability cases.

Mr. Leighton serves as the Chairman of The Academy of Trial Advocacy, and Chairman of the Inadequate Security Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). He is the author of the two-volume text Litigating Premises Security Cases, published by Thomson-West. He frequently lectures at national legal programs, including Florida Bar CLE courses, and has spoken and taught at seminars, conventions and colleges across several states.
