Commercial Litigation starstarstarstarstar

Leighton Law, P.A. is committed to aggressively litigating civil cases on behalf of commercial and business clients. Our successes in the courtroom makes us ideally suited to handle complex commercial cases.

In a recent case settled confidentially, Mr. Leighton was retained by a major developer whose joint venture partner had acted improperly by taking advantage of their business relationship. While the two businesses had entered into an agreement to purchase prime shopping center acreage, the partner went to another party to cut a better deal and bought the property out from under our client. Mr. Leighton represented the developer and obtained a very substantial settlement as a result of the tortuous conduct by the joint venturer, which was a breach of fiduciary duty.

Our firm has assisted numerous businesses in resolving conflicts without the need for protracted litigation and years of court intervention.  By approaching cases from the perspective of trial lawyers – and with the reputation developed from over 28 years of courtroom victories – commercial disputes can often be resolved at a much lower cost to the parties and in a confidential manner.

When that approach is unsuccessful or infeasible, Leighton Law aggressively litigates commercial cases.  The firm’s willingness to try cases and efficient approach to litigation results in a better outcome for our clients.

Leighton Law fee structures on commercial cases vary from an hourly to an hourly-contingency blend to a full contingency, depending on the case.  We encourage you to talk with us about the best fit for your case and explore what your specific needs are for litigation.
