Confidential Settlement – Assault on tenant at apartment complex

John Leighton obtained a recovery for a woman who was assaulted in the common area of her apartment complex.  She rented an apartment at this Broward county complex. One night she was grabbed and assaulted while returning to her apartment.  The case was settled confidentially prior to trial after Mr. Leighton proved that the complex had reason to be on notice of prior crimes but failed to provide reasonable security.
