John Elliott Leighton, founding partner in the Miami and Orlando, Florida trial law firm LEIGHTON LAW, spoke at the winter convention for the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America). The convention took place in Maui, Hawaii on January 29 through February 3, 2010, and was attended by nearly a thousand trial lawyers from around the world. Mr. Leighton will lectured on "Jury Selection in Today's Economy." Mr. Leighton, a frequent lecturer on trial techniques, recently published the update to his 2006 two volume book, Litigating Premises Security Cases (Thomson West). The lecture was attended by over two hundred trial lawyers, was videotaped, and is available through the American Association for Justice (www.justice.org).
