Leighton is Keynote Speaker on "Sex, Drugs & Violence"

On October 20, 2009, John Elliott Leighton was the featured speaker at the "Sex, Drugs & Violence: Negligent Premises Security Litigation" seminar sponsored by the Miami Daily Business Review at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami. Over 130 attorneys and members of the business community registered to participate in this dynamic program which featured audio, video, lecture and question/answer segments. Attorneys received 3 hours of CLE credit for the Florida Bar. Attendees also received Mr. Leighton's paper on Inadequate Security Litigation in Florida. There was extensive discussion of the underlying issues surrounding violent crime/inadequate security litigation, including case identification, investigation, case selection, expert witnesses, terrorism cases, litigation and trial.
